The pedsMRI app serves as a comprehensive resource for pediatric MRI protocols, readily accessible to its users. It is designed for pediatric radiologists, general radiologists, MRI technologists, as well as radiology fellows and residents who are engaged in MRI diagnostics for children.

Featuring a robust search function, the app allows users to input specific body parts, organs, pathologies, or suspected abnormalities. In response, it generates a list of relevant protocols tailored to the query. By selecting a specific protocol, users can access detailed information that includes suggested sequences and techniques applicable to the MRI examination of children for various diseases or anatomical regions. Notably, uncommon sequences are accompanied by explanations of their relevance and potential applications.

The protocols are compatible with the three major MRI vendor scanners—Siemens, Philips, and GE—and include trade names for the sequences. Furthermore, to ensure ongoing relevance and accuracy, the protocols within the app are updated annually in accordance with the latest research and advancements in the field of pediatric MRI.

This app has been developed by a team of experts in pediatric MRI from The Hospital for Sick Children.
